Small kitchen ideas
A collection of small kitchens designed and hand made by Square Peg Designs. Take what you like from our work, whether that is a rack built into the end of an island, a pull out filling a gap too narrow for a cupboard or a run taken to the ceiling, then let us make it for your own home.

In a small kitchen every inch is worth paying for. That is the argument for having one made rather than bought. Standard cabinets come in fixed widths, so the difference between what the room measures and what the boxes add up to ends its life as a filler panel. In a large kitchen you lose a cupboard. In a small one you lose the storage that made the room work.
We are cabinet makers. Every kitchen in this gallery was set out to the actual dimensions of the room, which is what lets us turn the end of an island into a wine rack, fill a 150mm gap with a pull out and carry a run all the way to the ceiling instead of stopping short and collecting dust on top.
Colour is worth being brave with here. A small room is often assumed to need white, when a deeper tone on the island or the base units usually gives it more depth rather than less. Light comes from where the cabinetry stops, not from the paint alone.
If the room is long and narrow, look at galley kitchen ideas as well. For everything else we make, start with kitchen ideas.
Have every inch of the room made to work
Send us the room. We will measure what you actually have, put storage in the gaps a standard kitchen would panel over, then take the run to the ceiling so nothing is wasted above your head.
